The Beautopia Teen Girl Project (Edition 3) took place at the RCCG, 3 Babani Street, Ajegunle Lagos. The project is powered by the Vertopia Network an Organization that is focused on promoting virtue and godliness in the society.

The Beautopia Teen Girl project is one of the many projects of the organisation and it’s focused on promoting sanitary hygiene, dental hygiene, mental health awareness as well as sex education amongst teenage girls in less privileged communities. The first two editions took place at Makoko community and Jakande community both in Lagos, Nigeria.

The Ajegunle edition had over 240 teenage girls in attendance. There were 4 sessions each facilitated by professionals and several Question & Answer sessions to allow for interaction amongst participants.

Our facilitators:
1. Dr Stella Nwaekpe: Sex Education
2. Dr Rehanatu Abu: Personal and Menstrual hygiene
3. Dr Unyime Bassey: Dental hygiene
4. Jude Adigwe: Mental hygiene

At the end of the event, Beautopia packs containing the following items were distributed to each teenage girl in attendance: Sanitary pads, Toothpaste, Toothbrush&holder, Deodorant, Bathing soap, Bathing sponge and Shaving stick.
