On our January edition of #superwoman corner of Priceless Magazine, we would like you to meet Omotayo Atinuke Junaid. An interesting 23-year-old Lady, making impact as the Founder of Safe and Smart Foundation (an NGO focused on promoting menstrual hygiene) as well as an Executive Director of 3113 Signatures.

*Can we please meet you (name, family and academic background)

-My name is Omotayo Atinuke Junaid, the I the first of four amazing girls. A graduate of Microbiology from Moshood Abiola Polytechnic.

*What are your hobbies and interest?

-If sleeping and eating counts as a hobby… Lol, but I love surfing the Internet, being on social media networks, seeing movies, reading books and dressing up.

*What makes you tick?

-The consciousness that a lot of destinies are tied to my greatness.

*What experiences triggered the discovery of your purpose?

-Its whole lot of experience, a 23 years experience that cannot be said in few minutes or take even a full magazine page but what stood out is going through fire and finding ways to break out refined.

*What significant change would you say you have noticed in your life since you gave your life to Christ?

-Peace in time of trouble.

*What is your favourite bible passage and why?

-Ha, it is difficult to have just one favourite Bible passage o. But I love the whole of the new testament, realising who I am in Christ, the gospel, the work of salvation, Grace, faith, love, resurrection … Now I just want to burst in tongues… Hehehe. All these made possible because Christ came. And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28.

*What is your definition of service?

-Continually looking for ways to add value every time without feeling entitled or expecting benefits.

 

*Being sexually pure is a major challenge for youths in this era, how do you think one can take a stand to wait?

-Know the right reasons why you should stay pure, ask for grace and get busy.

 

*How do you think the message of menstrual hygiene health can be spread efficiently?

-I think that people should be more open in talking about menstruation and menstrual hygiene management. When I say people, I mean both genders.

 

*If you could talk to yourself 5 years ago, what would you say?

-Build relationships, get knowledge and apply it.

 

*What advice do you have for young ladies especially under 30 who are still struggling to locate their purpose?

-Look inwards, pray and serve others. You would discover it along the way.
